Luke Sanderson Scoops Second At Chaine Des Rotisseurs UK Young Chef Of The Year 2017
Luke Sanderson, Chef de Partie at The Grand Hotel & Spa,
York, has claimed second place at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs UK Young Chef of
the Year 2017.
Craig Atchinson, Head Chef at The Grand Hotel & Spa says: “Luke is an incredibly talented and hard-working individual. He is a real asset to The Grand and the whole team is very proud of his success in this competition.”
Luke was the highest placed entrant under 23 and will go forward to represent the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ at the Craft Guild of Chefs Young Chef of the Year competition on the 6th June 2017.
Presenting the award at a reception at the Dorchester hotel, Philip Evins, Bailli Délégué for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs said: “The young talent that we have in the UK has never been stronger and we believe it vital to support and develop skills and techniques that help us ‘futureproof’ the Hospitality Industry as consumers look for new inspiration and experiences.”
The Grand Hotel & Spa, part of the Splendid Hospitality Group, is York’s first five-star hotel. It offers 107 elegant guestrooms and a full luxury experience. Hudson’s, the hotel’s three AA rosette restaurant, serves an imaginative menu, showcasing the finest local and seasonal produce.
