York’s only five star hotel, The Grand Hotel & Spa, donated 120 delicious scones with luxury jam for guests who attended Huntington School’s annual panto and festive tea this week.
Health and social care students from the York school’s sixth form performed Jack and the Beanstalk to 120 elderly local residents in the school hall followed by a festive afternoon tea. Santa also appeared bearing gifts for all.
Maria Florou, General Manager at The Grand Hotel & Spa said: “We have worked with Huntington School on various projects throughout the year and we’re privileged to be a part of this annual community event – a tradition which has been running for many years.”
“Christmas is all about putting smiles on people’s faces and we enjoyed treating everyone to our delicious scones.”
