SubRosa SPA launch

The city-centre spa’s first stop is a collection of marocMaroc rituals which are inspired by Moroccan traditions, using argan oil and amber to rejuvenate, detoxify, and indulge. From a cleansing, serene hammam journey to the full sensory indulgence of the ultimate rasul ritual, guests can immerse themselves in treatments and practices found nowhere else in York, only at SubRosa.

Guests will also find calming massages and results-driven facials on offer, with SubRosa being the first spa in the North of England to launch experiences by bio-tech brand, SeaBody, which use advanced marine bioactive treatments to restore the skin. Alongside the treatments, the spa offers an Immersive Sunlight Experience to energise the mind, body and soul.

The all-new facilities include a Tirol hot sauna, Himalayan salt sauna, a Salt and Light Therapy room, herbal steam room, herbal lounge, a state-of-the-art large hydrotherapy pool, foot spas, a relaxation room and more.

SubRosa has on offer three rituals to choose from – Rosa, Alba and Radix – allowing guests to re-emerge feeling renewed and revitalised, no matter the time of day.

1) Rosa – a full day experience where wellness meets elegance, and an invitation to escape the everyday. This includes a 60-minute treatment, full day access, and a Rasul ritual for two.

2) Alba – a half day spa experience for those who want to pause and re-charge. This includes a 50-minute treatment, half day spa access and lunch in the SubRosa restaurant.

3) Radix – an evening experience for those who want to reset for the next day including evening spa access, dinner in the SubRosa restaurant, and a glass of Champagne.

The Grand has also unveiled a new SubRosa restaurant with dishes inspired by Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Korean cuisine. From chicken Katsu and Shoyu pork belly ramen to tempura tiger prawns and vegetable bao buns, Executive Head Chef Kevin Bonello has crafted a selection of delicious sharing small plates and large plates to replenish appetites.
