"Where do we begin ?!?! I cannot tell you how fantastic the Grand Hotel has been!! You and everyone who were there for our weekend were absolutely brilliant. From the gorgeous men at the front doors, the reception staff, the staff at the event, the staff who kept coming to our rooms with gifts or messages etc. The staff worked so hard all day and we can’t sing their praises enough. Please please make sure the hotel manager is made aware that he/she has exceptional staff. You made our day run so smooth. The food, the decor and absolutely everything was gorgeous. "I just wanted to say thank you for all your help and support to make our Wedding so amazing! A big thank you to the team at The Grand, our day was really perfect. It felt so special and memorable. There was just so much to take in. We’ve just come back from our honeymoon and we talked about our wedding day at some point every day whilst we were away, we keep remembering things! The room looked incredible for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, it took my breath away when I walked in, for both parts. The meal was outstanding, everything ran like clockwork. The venue is extraordinary and full of class and opulent. Everyone is friendly and wants to help you and make you feel the most important person. Our wedding was quite an intimate affair and yet James and the team made it feel like the most significant wedding they had ever held there. Plus, our dogs were part of the day and every member of staff loved them.

I would definitely recommend The Grand, York. The building is stunning, everywhere you look it’s just beautiful. The location and views over the York Minster are breath-taking. But it’s the staff that make this hotel the best in Yorkshire. From the doormen that open the door when you walk into the hotel to the waiting staff who couldn’t do enough to make sure everyone was enjoying their day. Not to mention the team that spent hours working with us the plan the event, always had a smile on their dace. Thank you again!

"The whole experience from the taster menu to the wedding breakfast was stress free. Our guests who arrived early on the day had a seamless early check in and absolutely everything was perfect with their rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, everything went to plan despite late cancellations on the morning of the wedding, all our guests commented on what a great job they did and how calm and organised they were. All day we both had absolute confidence in them and they helped make our day the best day ever. Finally special thanks also to Terry the chef who gave us an amazing wedding breakfast, people are still talking about it now! ! Seriously the food was just incredible and we are looking forward to coming back again hopefully in January as Mr and Mrs Brimson this time."
