What time can I check in at The Grand, York?    

Check-in is from 3pm. Should you wish to arrive earlier our Concierge team will be more than happy to store your luggage for you. Alternatively, subject to availability, you may be granted early access to your room.

What time can I check out at The Grand, York? 

Your room must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. A late check-out is available upon request which is charged at £30.00 per hour. All Suite guests are guaranteed a 12pm late check-out.

Is The Grand, York dog friendly?             

Unfortunately, we are not a pet-friendly hotel. 

Is there parking at The Grand, York?      

Our valet parking service is available for guests at £35 per night. Alternatively, there is a National Car Park on Tanner Row, just a minute walk from the hotel charged at £21 per 24 hours when using a discount ticket which can be collected from our Concierge team. Please note ALL parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

The Grand has 2 restaurants: The Rise Restaurant Terrace and Bar which offers a Yorkshire twist on British favourites, and Legacy; a fine dining experience with an eight course tasting menu which focuses on local and sustainable cuisine with optional wine pairings.

Yes the hotel is fully accessible. Our restaurants, bars, spa, meeting rooms and bedrooms offer easy access for all, whilst our cookery school boasts a fully accessible kitchen.

Day delegate rates starts from £50pp in the low season and up to £70pp in high seasons. For smaller meetings and interviews we can offer a room hire charge from £200. Rates include VAT.

Our Grand Boardroom and Chairman’s Suite are both licensed to hold a wedding, two of the most stunning wedding venues in York.

How much does a wedding cost at The Grand, York?     

Our Yorkshire wedding packages are bespoke and can be tailored to your budget and can range from £8,500 to £25,000 depending on season and days of the week.

What does a Grand wedding include?  

A wedding at The Grand is bespoke and tailored to suit the needs of the happy couple. We have a range of pre and post wedding celebrations, which include spa treatments, afternoon tea, and the use of our Cookery School.

What other experiences do you offer at The Grand?      

The Grand, York offers a host of different experiences and activities for guests to enjoy from cookery classes and spa days to afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and drinks in the 1906 Bar. Movie nights for families during half-terms are available as well as seasonal workshops and activities such as gin tasting, flower arranging and more.

Does The Grand, York have a spa?          

The Spa at The Grand, York is based in the hotel’s atmospheric vaults and is open daily for residents, non-residents and spa members. The spa is inclusive of a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and treatment rooms. 

Do I have to pre-book the spa?

Guests receive a complimentary spa access
throughout their stay, however we strongly advise booking a one hour time slot
in advance to avoid disappointment. 

Do I lose my money if I cancel? 

All rooms offer flexible cancellation up until 4pm on the day prior to arrival
