This course enables you to use the Weber way of cooking to explore the range of possibilities open to you on the barbecue - those that exceed the ‘traditional’ associated barbecue foods of sausages and burgers! Whilst you will develop the key skills required to successfully work the barbecue such as lighting and temperature control, the Essentials Course will teach you how to use Weber’s renowned “lid-on” barbecue technique, to not only grill, but to roast, smoke and bake.
Set in our outdoor courtyard, over the course of 4 hours you will learn how to perfect steaks, roasts, pizzas and even cakes. Under the expert guidance of our Cookery School Tutor, you will prepare a range of dishes utilising these skills. In addition to a demonstration on how to cook the perfect steak, you will get hands on with some dough to create a stone baked pizza. Using both charcoal and gas barbecues, you will learn how to recognise when food has been barbecued to perfection.
